Provost & District Family and Community Support Services
F.C.S.S. Counsellor
17.5-21 hours/week
Provost & District Family & Community Support Services invites applications for an FCSS part-time Counsellor position. The FCSS Counsellor provides general counselling for families, couples and youth as well as facilitating parenting/family related information sessions within the M.D. of Provost.
The applicant must:
- Be a highly motivated individual with well developed personal counselling skills, ability to work independently with a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Master’s Degree in Counselling (MC), Masters of Social Work (MSW) or related counselling degree and two years experience in a related position.
- Hold a membership with a recognized association such as The Alberta Association of Social Workers.
- Have the ability to travel to see various clients throughout the MD of Provost #52.
- Produce a valid RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check and Children and Family Services Intervention Record checks are a position requirement.
Hours to be negotiated and salary will be commensurate with experience.
This position will commence as soon as a suitable applicant can be found.
